Biography
Madeleine Nadeau joined Balestreri Potocki & Holmes as an associate after serving as a law clerk for the firm during her final year of law school. Madeleine’s diverse background in both transactional matters and litigation enables her to excel in the areas of business law, construction law, intellectual property law, and public contracting.
Prior to joining the firm, Madeleine gained valuable courtroom and legal advocacy experience working as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Jill L. Burkhardt of the U.S. District Court, Southern District of California. She also served as an intern for the Office of the City Attorney of San Diego, Civil Division where she garnered experience in key areas of risk management and trial preparation.
Madeleine earned her Juris Doctor at the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school she competed as a finalist in the USD Moot Court Alumni Torts Tournament and received a USD School of Law Honor Scholarship. In addition, Madeleine was awarded the Pro Bono Services Recognition award for contributing over 100 hours of pro bono work in the civil litigation field. Before earning her law degree, Madeleine received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Washington State University, where she was also awarded the Delta Gamma “Lamp of Knowledge” award for receiving a 4.0 GPA. Her professional memberships include the San Diego County Bar Association, Lawyers Club of San Diego, and Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society.
Madeleine’s passions outside the law include live music, yoga, and her Boston Terrier. Originally from Seattle, Madeleine is thankful to have the opportunity to practice law in San Diego.
